Fall Fundraiser 2022

AADC Fall Fundraiser – A Big Success!
By Mary Helen Fein
Photos by Terry Rodriguez

The 2022 AADC Fall Fundraiser was a great success. Please scroll down to see lots of wonderful pictures.

This year we held the event outside at Auburn Recreation Park. Over sixty people attended, providing the club with generous ticket revenue that can go to support our candidates in the upcoming election. In addition members donated over 45 items to our silent auction, more than doubling our revenue for the day. Many dedicated members worked hard on the event. The committee met for many weeks to get everything ready, under the excellent guidance of event coordinator Noelle Filice-Smith. Arleen Harrison was in charge of the silent auction, with a little help from previous year’s auction mavens, Leslye Janusz and Mary Helen Fein. Rosalie Wohlfromm and Constance Alexander managed the entryway, tickets and finances. Everyone enjoyed the taco bar and cookies. AADC President Terry Rodriguez offered his truck for large-item pick up and delivery, while Dave Deckman and Stu Clancy helped to set up the sound system so that everyone could hear our fine candidates and other speakers. Thanks to all who attended and to all who donated Once again AADC had a great event.

This was our entry way, with ticket takers Constance Alexander and Rosalie Wohlfromm manning the gate.

Fearless Leader AADC President Terry Rodriguez makes some introductions.

Fundraiser Chief Organizer and Inspired leader Noelle Filice-Smith waves “Hi” to all Democrats everywhere!

Past President, and current Vice President of AADC, Ed Koons steps up to the mic.

What a wonderful picnic space! Outdoors with good weather. AADC served a taco bar with tacos, salsa, cheese, trimmings, and 4 different non-alcoholic drinks, (although there was definitely some BYOB in evidence). Mexican wedding cookies and fancy bakery Chocolate Chips and Oatmeal Raisin cookies rounded out the menu.

AADC Members browse our silent auction. We had over 45 objects to auction off. What wonderful support from our community! The auction brought in more revenue than the ticket sales, everything going to support our candidates!
