DESCRIPTION:From the organizer: \n\n\n\nOn April 5th\, #50501\, Indivisible\, and many other organizations are sponsoring demonstrations in every state. There will be a large showing in Sacramento. We want to show our local concern and support and will have a demonstration of our own in Auburn. Protesters will bring attention to the many anti-democracy issues (voter suppression\, mass layoffs in needed services\, threats to Social Security\, threats to Medicare and more. We will also ask AGAIN\, #WheresKevinKiley since he refuses to do an in-person Town Hall. \nParticipants are asked to wear blue\, yellow\, or blue/yellow to show our support for the people of Ukraine and against the Russian aggressor\, Putin. \nWe will also have a mailbox for you to deposit your letters to Kiley. We will make sure they are delivered to him. We are also collecting non-perishable food stuffs. Trump’s economy will hurt many and we can help out by taking these donations to the local food bank.Our last demonstration was held by the Placer County/Auburn Courthouse. But\, this date is the same time as the Auburn Farmers’ Market nearby. The parking would be very hard for everyone. So\, we are meeting at the corner of Bell Rd. and Highway 49 on the sidewalks which are public property. There is parking at Target and in the parking lot by Panera and McDonald’s across the street.\nDrivers have generally been quite supportive. However\, participants are encouraged not to engage with any MAGA folks who might get confrontational. No one “wins” and it could cause issues. We are the “good guys”.\nIf you want to go to Sacramento instead to add to the huge response\, try to carpool since parking is difficult. \nSign up here.

DESCRIPTION:From the organizer:\nCurrently\, employees of the FBI (including some in the Roseville FBI Headquarters) are under attack by the Donald Trump and Elon Musk administration due to the fact there was an intensive investigation into the many violent combatives who were involved and jailed because of the January 6 attack of the United States Capitol and all the officers who were there to protect the capitol and the legislative individuals inside the building.\nLinda Hall exclaimed\, “I simply want to see\, and show\, how much local support there is for resistance to all the Trump administration’s agenda. I know there were at least a few locals involved in the Jan. 6 investigation\, so I believe there are probably some FBI employees subject to the purge; I want them to know they have our local support.”\nBarbara Brass said\, “My message is ALWAYS to show up and speak up for every situation that is harmful to our Democracy and to protect targeted and marginalized individuals. Anyone who works for the FBI who was part of investigating Donald Trump and his part in the January 6 violent attack on the United States Capitol. I hope many people show up from many groups with good messages!”
