DESCRIPTION:From the organizer:\n\nPresident’s Day\, Feb 17\, will be the date of a national protest against fascism. This rally will focus on the illegitimate power of Elon Musk and other oligarchs over our government. He is NOT OUR PRESIDENT even though he has taken on that role. He and Trump do not reflect our values as they use the executive branch to unlawfully purge employees\, programs\, and entire cabinet positions. (Education on the chopping block) The actions are transactional and provide Musk and his cronies with actual rewards in the form of less oversight\, removal of competitors and critics\, and unprecedented access to government. Even the House has been usurped by allowing Trump to disallow funding to programs already approved by Congress. Our private information is being accessed\, immigrants are targeted\, vulnerable individuals and groups are left without protections\, and even disaster relief is contingent upon adherence to MAGA beliefs.
